Pirate Ship Project taking shape!

It may be the summer holidays for children and schools but here at Pendlewood it is actually the busiest time of the year!

And one of our biggest ever projects is currently taking centre stage in our workshop.

The Pirate Ship, which can be seen undergoing construction from the accompanying pictures, is being made for Forefield Primary School in Crosby, Merseyside. An updated variation on our popular HMS Intrepid and HMS Discovery play ships, it is on track to be our best ever product.

The Ship includes a number of fun-filled educational and recreational challenges and is so big it is going to take up an area of nearly 150 square metres! There are climbing nets, a traversing wall,  crawl tunnels, a wheelchair friendly ramp way entrance and much more, all of which promise to make this even more exciting than an afternoon on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean!

Be sure to stay tuned to www.pendlewood.com for all the developments on this project, including the huge opening ceremony/unveiling that is planned for early in the Autumn term!
