Abraham Guest High School, Wigan
Pendlewood has played a key part in the outdoor area of a new Pathfinder school in Wigan, after designing and installing some sensational seating for the site.
The team at Abraham guest school in Wigan had a state of the art new school that was amazing yet the outside seating areas were he same old options - the standard school seating was not what they had in mind.
They wanted street furniture that was curvy and shaped that would fit in with the architects designs for their state of the art buildings.
Pendlewood was the company that listened to their dreams and aspirations for the street furniture and developed street seats that worked with the design of the building and wishes of all the team.
Contemporary street furniture was the style, yet a bespoke option was required. After meetings with the Pendlewood design team a bespoke option was developed to a working model that everyone was excited about.
From initial
concept to completed project Pendlewood were there with there expert
knowledge and design ideas.
As you can see from the surrounding images, Pendlewood's products are forming the centre piece of the contemporary
outdoor grounds.
Wigan MBC's Cllr Susan Loudon, the council's champion for education, has said about the project: "This is the flagship site for the Wigan Schools for the Future project. Children deserve cutting edge schools for the very best education."

Premises Manager Quotes
"As part of the Pathfinder project the design team and Abraham Guest High
School had a vision for robust, durable and aesthetic outside seating
areas.
We found Pendlewood could meet our bespoke design requirements and supply us
with a product that not only looked the part but would withstand heavy everyday
usage within a school environment.
Following on from our initial design brief and tour of the factory to view
various design ideas, we found Pendlewood to be very helpful and amenable,
producing drawings and specifications that more than met our aspirations to fulfil our project
requirements"
"The finished product is now in place and looks great, it is well utilised by pupils, staff and visitors giving an excellent facility that enhances our school building"
