Everest Community College
The Everest Community College in Basingstoke,
Hampshire was a brand new £28m project that saw a large secondary school move
to this ultra-modern, brand new BSF funded site.
Pendlewood was given the task of producing the
outdoor seating for the college and the final results were amongst our most
ambitious and stunning seating based projects to date!
The new build was collaboration between Pendlewood,
the school, Hampshire County Council and landscape architects. When Pendlewood
was tasked with the job of creating the bespoke seating the brief was simple -
Sustainability had to be central to the design and there had to be a modern but
communal style to the seating.
So successful was the finished product that
the benches were subsequently launched as a range - and the bespoke Piper
Curved benches, as they soon became known - quickly became a firm favourite with
architects and clients alike.
