Park View Children's Centre, Rotherham

Park View Children's Centre in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, were looking for some varied, educational and fun early years play equipment to fill an empty space on their grounds. The vacant area was brimming with potential but Day Care Manager Donna Higginbottom was looking for a company that would tick all the boxes...

What Park View staff anticipated was a lengthy and frustrating search for a company that understood their exact needs. What they got were the right people to transform the area from barren to educational and fun-filled - Pendlewood!

As you can see from the pictures below, Pendlewood and Park View worked together to create a brilliant new play space that has proven to be a major hit with youngsters and staff alike!

We decided to utilise the space Park View had allocated was really quite large by Early Years standards and we wanted to utilise it all, so we decided to create an area that focused on giving children a fun, exciting play experience that aided their physical development and problem solving skills.

The play area consists of a number of Pendlewood products and activities. These included an Adventure Trim Trail, a Mini-Tot Shed, the Marquee Sandpit, Digging Areas, a slide, The Rainbow Bridge, Archways and much, much more!

The view from Park View made for good reading too. Donna Higginbottom, The Children's Centre Day Care manager, spoke in glowing terms on behalf of the children and staff. She exclaimed: "Everybody at Park View is very happy indeed and we really do have the natural play area we wanted."

"Pendlewood have provided us with a fantastic natural outdoor area for the children to enjoy. From the initial design right through to installation we couldn't have asked for any more, the children absolutely love the new area and all the experiences it brings."
