Our Integral Planter Seats are an excellent, versatile outdoor educational facility for your children.

They will introduce colour and nature to the playground while also offering a pleasant seating area where children can sit for outdoor lessons or chat with friends at break time.

Indeed, the Integral Planter Seats fit effortlessly with the government's Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto initiative that schools are now expected to adhere to.

The Integral Planter Seats come in a variety of shapes and arrangements to suit the exact needs of your school. We offer I-Shaped, T-Shaped and L-Shaped options and the sizes and lengths can be adapted to fit into exactly what you want.

The planters can also be used for imaginative and creative play and are great for introducing children to natural science.

The Integral Planter Seats are handcrafted from robust and chunky sections of redwood timber, which are ideal for use in schools as they are less prone to splinters than hardwoods and are low maintenance.

Due to Environmental reasons we choose to use European Redwood. This is one of the hardest softwoods available and is suitable for exterior usage. It has a natural resilience, and the introduction of the preservative Tanalith E helps this timber have a greater life span than some hardwoods - without the negative environmental impact associated with exotic hardwoods.

Redwood timber is fully grown in 50 years. It is also harvested and replanted in 50% of the time that it takes a hardwood tree to reach maturity. All redwood used by Pendlewood is harvested from sustainable forests.
