Outdoor Classrooms

Pendlewood has developed an innovative range of outdoor classrooms and shelters that are educational, versatile and encourage children to get in touch with our natural environment.

We offer outdoor classrooms, amphitheatres, sheltered walkways and much more - and as always they are constructed with safety paramount and utilising traditional and environmental values.

Our outdoor classrooms in this range are ideal for teaching outside of the classroom and are also excellent for offering a multitude of other benefits including acting as natural play areas, helping children get in touch with nature first hand and offering shelter from the sun and the rain.

As with all our products we have created and crafted our outdoor classroom designs by making sure that they stimulate learning and allow pupils to get inspiration and be creative, whatever the situation.

The government's Learning Outside The Classroom manifesto is placing a huge emphasis on recommending that children should be able to go beyond the limitations of the traditional confines of the classroom and our versatile outdoor classrooms range will certainly enable you to do that.

Don't just take our word for it though - here is what Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families said in his recent report: "It is not right to try and wrap children in cotton wool as they grow up. Getting outside the classroom should be part and parcel of school life - not some optional extra. It should excite young people and is vital in making them independent, self-confident and reliable."

Pendlewood has a CRB checked installation team and we are also accredited members of the API, Ethical Junction and ROSPA. All playground equipment meets with the British and European standards EN1176 for Playground Equipment and EN1177 for Impact absorbing Playground Surfacing.
