Kew 5

Kew Range - Outdoor Classrooms

The Kew 5 is the latest member of the Kew range and is perfect for those who want the complete outdoor classroom experience.

Combining the grandiose size of the Kew 3 with the intimate features and atmosphere of the Kew 4, the Kew 5 is extremely versatile.

It is ideal for a range of tasks and activities; It's substantial size and seating mean that it is perfect teaching classes to (large) groups outside, the many planters will allow for growing areas and will help give children first hand natural science lessons - in addition to adding colour to your grounds.

As the Kew 5 has a fully decked floor, it is also an excellent addition from a social point of view; it can act as an area for children to sit and chat during playtime, a staff meeting area, or as a somewhere to shelter parents or any visitors. In addition to this the Kew 5 can act as an overnight or classtime storage area for other play equipment.

The Kew 5 comes complete with an extremely strong and advanced UV safety filter roof design to eliminate the dangers of the sun, and will also withstand whatever the infamous British weather tries to throw at it!

The design includes a variety of excellent seating areas, planters and growing areas that encourage the introduction of nature and there is the flexibility to add a wealth of educational extras such as chalkboards and sandpits.

The Kew 5 is perfect for fun, activity and creative learning; it will aid attainment levels and help to improve the learning experience... truly a structure that will be cherished by teachers and pupils alike!

Due to Environmental reasons we choose to use European Redwood. This is one of the hardest softwoods available and is suitable for exterior usage. It has a natural resilience, and the introduction of the preservative Tanalith E helps this timber have a greater life span than some hardwoods - without the negative environmental impact associated with exotic hardwoods.

Redwood timber is fully grown in 50 years. It is also harvested and replanted in 50% of the time that it takes a hardwood tree to reach maturity. All redwood used by Pendlewood is harvested from sustainable forests.
